The best wedding venue in Leeds | The Leeds Library

The title of this blogpost is a huge statement but I stand by that the best wedding venue in Leeds for a wedding ceremony in the city is The Leeds Library. It isn’t a traditional wedding venue in any way, but it is incredibly beautiful, extremely unique and one of my favourite venues to photograph a wedding.

As a Leeds wedding photographer, I have photographed many many weddings all over Leeds, Harrogate and most of Yorkshire. I specialise in city weddings and the popularity of city weddings has certainly grown over the past few years. This is down to lots of factors, affordability, a cooler vibe going for a city micro wedding, some celebs going for the town hall wedding has shown it can be done and still be incredibly beautiful and very chic. I’m all for city weddings, town hall weddings and I love weddings at Leeds Civic Hall, in fact I’m there every month! What I love about The Leeds Library is that it combines all these factors together but makes it even more unique. Getting married surrounded by books is just so cool and romantic!

Clare and Harry had their STUNNING wedding ceremony at The Leeds Library surrounded by friends and family and books! They had a small drinks reception at The Leeds Library too with speeches and pork pie. They then took their entire wedding partys through the city to Leeds Train Station where they all got the train to The Old Woollen in Farsley for their wedding celebration and reception. You may have seen the train wedding photographs I took on The Hoot Leeds and Northern Rail’s instagram as they went a little bit viral last month!

Weddings in the city of Leeds are such a vibe, have so much character and are super memorable, so if you’re planning a wedding in Leeds, consider The Leeds Library for your wedding ceremony and invite me along for the day 🙂
