Bride and groom walking down country lane at The Normans York

The Normans York DIY Wedding | Amelia and Eliott

Amelia and Eliott wanted to get married at The Normans York with a DIY wedding and they wanted a wedding photographer to match that relaxed vibe – I’m so thankful that they chose me to photograph their wedding at The Normans! It was my first time photographing a wedding at The Normans and I was blown away with how lovely each part of the venue is!

They have an amazing cottage to get ready in just next door to the venue, a specific ceremony room which doesn’t need turning round for the evening do, which helps so much with your timeline of the day! The ceremony room is filled with fairy lights which is super romantic and makes it feel like a twilight ceremony!

Amelia and Eliott created so many things as part of their wedding, making it a DIY wedding. Not only did they make the flower decorations and buttonholes, but Amelia’s mum made her wedding dress! It looks absolutely incredible with the hand embroidered veil! Amelia’s very talented friend even hand crafted her bridal shoes! So many talented people at this DIY wedding at The Normans York!

There are so many beautiful moments of joy in this wedding, you can see from the wedding photographs how special this day was to them all. Here are a few of my favourite wedding photographs from Amelia and Eliott’s day at The Normans York DIY wedding.
